Welcome, welcome.
This isn't my first foray into the blogosphere. And, quite honestly, I feel like blogging is a dying medium. Well, compared to when I started blogging around 2009, it's definitely waned in popularity when it comes to sharing one's corner of the internet because of the popularity of YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Still. I blog, because I like to write.
I don't know if I will ever do a YouTube-style vlog, more so in the realm of running. Having tried it, I am not a huge fan because it takes me out of my running mindset. Well, this is a post for another day, because my running mindset changes based on what I need... sometimes it's all fun and games (which works well for a vlog) and sometimes it's focused on a time goal or just needed solace. Plus, I've killed my share of YouTube channels, but that's a whole other story.
So, I guess the biggest question to the start of this blog is ... why? And, that's a good place to start. Well, there is the element of I love to write and I just don't do a lot of it anymore. But, I want and need accountability. I have goals. I need that accountability, even if no one reads this blog, I need the accountability of writing down my goals and physically seeing the progression of them.
That's my why.
I will get into my goals in a later post. But, if you have followed my past running blogs ... PhatJosh, Running180, Running Towards Home, Okayest Jogger, Run On Blog, etc., etc., etc. (I've had many different names) ... you will get pretty much the same thing as those blogs. You will get some race recaps, muses, boring accountability posts and probably a lot of random stuff.
Again, I'm not here to solely entertain. This is a running blog of accountability ... and a lot of fun ... because that's what I need at times to get me across the finish line.
So, yeah, welcome to my blog.
